Free Grant-Writing Workshop, hosted by The Arkansas Department of Health (August 19, 2009)
The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) presents “Writing a Successful Grant,” one-day training on the basics of grant writing for community based organizations. The HIV/STD/Hepatitis C Section will be hosting this training. The training will provide participants the opportunity to develop an understanding of the components of a successful grant proposal.

The training is being provided by Donna Yutzy, a nationally recognized expert in HIV program development and a successful grant writer. Donna has been a contractor with the Arkansas Department of Health since 1999 and is currently working with the Arkansas Department of Health, HIV Program. Donna has written over 100 grants in the past twenty years and has had over $120 million funded through successful proposals to agencies such as Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Housing & Urban Development (HUD), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), California Department of Health, Oregon Department of Health, Chicago Resource Center, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Gill Foundation, the Irvine Foundation, Sierra Health Foundation and United Way.

The workshop will be held on August 19, 2009 from 10 am-4 pm in the ADH Auditorium. The Auditorium is located on the Basement Level of the Arkansas Department of Health building.
