AMHC ENDORSES HEALTHY WAYS WEIGHT CONTROL AND RESEARCH PROJECT

LITTLE ROCK, AR--The Arkansas Minority Health Commission(AMHC)is proud to endorse an exciting new program that promotes the health and well-being of Southeast Pulaski County communities. The program is called Healthy Ways---Health Eating and Active Living for Today’s Healthier You.

Healthy Ways is a FREE behavioral weight control program for eligible individuals that utilizes effective strategies to lose weight and keep it off by focusing on changing diet, physical activity, and other behaviors. Healthy Ways is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) through a grant to the Arkansas Center for Health Disparities at the UAMS Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health.

AMHC would like to encourage all those who are interested in weight loss and live, work or have close social ties to Southeast Pulaski County communities by way of church, civic groups, clubs or other similar affiliations, to check out this exciting new program. Healthy Ways could potentially help you achieve your weight loss goals which may ultimately contribute to your overall health and well-being.
