ARKANSAS MINORITY HEALTH COMMISSION ANNOUNCES A COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR IN MONTICELLO
MONTICELLO, AR--The Arkansas Minority Health Commission (AMHC), in partnership with the Arkansas Department of Health Drew County Hometown Health Initiative, will have a
health fair event on Thursday, July 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the VFW Building at 148 Veterans Drive.
Free health screenings for blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell, and many more will be provided. Health related vendors will be on hand to provide important information. Literature in both Spanish and English will also be available for attendees.
“The Arkansas Minority Health Commission conducts free health screenings throughout the state,” says Idonia Trotter, executive director of the AMHC. “In particular, we aim to impact communities and surrounding counties that otherwise may not be able to access these types of free services.”
A free lunch will be provided for all participants.
