The Department of Human Services (DHS) Behavioral Health Case Review Analyst isresponsible for monitoring and coordinating the development of community supportprograms and monitoring and evaluating mental health services for certification. Thisposition is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.
Typical Functions
Monitors and coordinates the development of community support programs by reviewingand evaluating the effectiveness of behavioral health services provided to clients. Oversees and conducts the certification review process for behavioral health services byreviewing and analyzing service needs, assuring placement in the least restrictiveenvironment, preparing comprehensive reports on findings, and recommending andmonitoring corrective action. Provides technical assistance and guidance to individuals and agencies to exchangeinformation and/or interpret state and federal policies, procedures, and guidelines and toidentify problems and formulate solutions. Plans, prepares, and gives presentations, training, and technical assistance, both statewideand nationally, to promote and strengthen behavioral health programs. Assists in development of community support program budgetary requests andtracks/monitors expenditures. Collects and maintains data relative to behavioral health client service requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to analyze data and prepare reports. Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
Minimum Education and/or Experience
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, publicadministration or a related field; plus one year of experience in a behavioral health program. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes requirereview and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PARTOF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS,UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
Preferred Qualifications
Have 18 months of experience as a Peer Support Specialist
Be trained in the Arkansas State Peer Specialist Model
Experience in working with Youth in a juvenile system
Experience working with individuals with substance abuse issues
Experience working wit individuals with substance use issues
Be able to work independently and organize their own schedule
Experience in working on a multidisciplinary team
